Our mission
IllegalRescueWomen.org is a national advocacy platform that documents, amplifies, and challenges the practice of treating adult women spa and wellness workers as “victims” to be rescued against their will.
Trafficking of any person is a serious crime and must be investigated. That duty does not authorise rounding up consenting adult workers, filming them for television, or holding them in institutions until they “accept rehabilitation.” Rescue without consent is detention.
We exist so those workers can speak in their own names — or anonymously — and so policymakers, courts, and the press hear the difference between protection and punishment.
Who we serve
- Adult women (18+) employed as therapists, attendants, receptionists, and managers in spa and wellness workplaces
- Colleagues and families affected by raids, shelter detention, and loss of livelihood
- Journalists, lawyers, and officials seeking first-person accounts rather than raid-night spectacle
How we work
Stories submitted on this site are reviewed before national publication. Contributors may remain anonymous. We do not publish photographs of workers without explicit consent, and we never ask for graphic personal detail.
Alongside testimony we publish rights explainers, campaign demands, and referrals to public legal-aid institutions. We are not a shelter, police desk, or law firm.
