Rescue took my rent and my children’s fees.
They took my phone and my salary envelope the night of the operation. I kept asking for a receipt. Nobody writes a receipt for a rescue.
When I was released, the centre had closed. The landlord had already issued a notice. School asked why the fees were late. I had been “protected” for long enough to fall behind on everything that actually protects my family.
I am not against helping women who want help. I am against a system that cannot tell the difference. Three months of income disappeared because someone needed a body count for a briefing.
If the State wants to inspect licences, inspect licences. Do not confiscate the lives attached to them.
